HZS50 Concrete Mixing Plant Features
The primary features of the HZS50 concrete batching plant are made up of six components: conveying system, feeding system, mixing system, controlling system, storage system, and the metal frame structure.
Aggregate Batching Machine
The aggregate batching machine of the HZS50 plant is the central component of the batching machine. It features the PLD1600 that features 2 to 4 bins for various aggregates, a 1.6cm3 capacity weighing hopper, productivity of 80m3/h, and an ingredient precision of 2%.
The aggregate batching machine’s performance is ensured by the hopper cumulative weighing technique, which includes a weighing sensor and a regulating computer.
Hopper Conveyor
The hopper conveyor is the central part of the conveying system. The skip hopper conveyors on the LUTON HZS50 concrete batching plant lift aggregates and feature a compact construction with a small footprint.
HZS50 plants are extensively used in various project locations with varying layouts due to their simple and effective hopper conveyors.
Js1000 Mixing Machine
The JS1000 Concrete Mixer is a powerful mixer used in the mixing system. As a twin-horizontal-shaft mixing machine, the JS1000 concrete mixer features a maximum aggregate size of 80/60mm. It has the capability of producing 50m3 of evenly mixed concrete in one hour with a batching time of just 72 seconds.
Recently, the JS1000 concrete mixer has been commonly utilized as the major mixing equipment in small and medium-sized concrete mixing factories.
Cement Silo
A cement silo is required as a key component of the HZS50 storage system.
An HZS50 concrete batching plant often stores cement in silos, typically the tallest equipment of the HZS50 concrete batching plant.
The LUTON HZS50 bulk cement silos may be configured based on footprint size, environmental protection, and concrete production capacity requirements.
The cement silos are equipped with air pressure monitors, cement volume monitors, safety alarms, dust collectors, and other features to ensure extended service life, cheap cost, and eco-friendly operations.
Lastly, the cement silo has two types, including the bolted and the welded cement silo.
Screw Conveyor
The hopper hoists are used to transport aggregate, as mentioned earlier. In contrast, screws conveyors are used to transport powdered materials such as fly ash, cement, and so on. Screw conveyors exist in two sizes, including ø219mm and ø273mm. These two types are customized according to the discharge port size of bulk cement silos.
Weighing System
The HZS50 weighing system performs four different weighing operations. They include powder weighing, liquid weighing, aggregate weighing, and additive weighing. In addition, these spread across weighing aggregates, cement, fly ash, water, additives, and many more.
Weighing sensors transmit precise weighing signals in the form of commands to the control system. However, when it reaches the predetermined value, the control system sends a command to close the charge gate.
This indicates that the weighing operation is complete. The ingredients in the weighing hopper will then be delivered to the main mixer.
The weighing system’s precision is vital since it influences the proportioning accuracy of the complete concrete mixing system. Now that more modern measuring technology is being applied to the weighing system of a concrete batching plant, our batching plant is becoming more advanced, and the proportioning accuracy is increasing.
Electric Controls System
The HZS50 concrete batching plant’s control system is a fully automated electric control system. It is supplemented with a manual control panel, making it easy to achieve accurate production control.
The LUTON HZS50 concrete batching plant may be configured with a fully automated, semi-automated, or manual control system. These three control systems can provide real-time monitoring, precision control, accurate output, quick feedback, and other benefits. Also, the
HZS50 can accomplish perfect functioning performance under these enhanced controls. As a result, users can select the best control approach for their specific needs.
Dust-Collecting System
The LUTON HZS50 batching plant is eco-friendly. It is equipped with a dust collection system that effectively minimizes dust emissions.
Due to the innovative mind of our experts and designers, two types of dust collection systems are now available to meet the needs of our customers. They include the bag-type dust collection system and the water dust collection system.
A two-stage dust removal system is used in bag-type collection systems. This first stage involves gravity dust removal, while the second stage involves the removal of bag dust.
Three-step dust removal method is mostly recommended due to its efficiency. The first stage of the three-step dust removal consists of gravity dust removal, followed by the whirlwind dust removal, and lastly, water dust removal.
Pneumatic System
The pneumatic system is used to regulate the opening and shutting of each component’s door. These include the gas route door of feeding, cement measuring, water weighing, cement silos discharging, admixture weighing, and other branches.

How Does the HZS50 Hopper Concrete Mixing Plant Work?
The primary production operation of the HZS50 Hopper Concrete Batch Plant are as follows: feeding of material, measurement of materials, concrete mixing, and overall plant control.
1. Set Up the Control System Using the Manual Panel.
Input concrete production working parameters such as recipe value, concrete grade, volume, slump, and so on.
2. Begin the Controlling Method.
Signals for production are sent to all the plant components via the PLY controller
3. Feeding Supplies
Individual types of aggregate are transported into batching bins. The loading follows the following procedures: fly ash and cement are loaded into the fly ash and cement silos, respectively, while additives and water are stored additive and water tank respectively.
4. Measurement of Materials
- Aggregates are released into weighing hoppers for measurement using accurate weighing sensors and a control computer.
- Screw conveyors transport cement and fly ash from storage silos to cement and fly ash weighing bins.
- Water and additive are piped to a separate weighing bin from the water tank and the additive barrel.
5. Materials Mixing
Measured aggregates are transported to the mixer via hopper hoist, together with fly ash, water, weighed cement, and additive. They are uniformly mixed in the compartment using the powerful JS1000 mixing machine.
Finally, effectively measured concrete manufacturing is completed.
When difficulties develop during production, the controller detects the problems and sends an alarm to alert the operator. The operator can then halt the operation until the issues are resolved.
Electric motors, load cells, and butterfly valves will operate automatically in response to the controller’s material feeding signal.
Every charge or discharge gate, including aggregate bin gates, concrete mixer discharge gate, and butterfly valves of scale hopper, among others, will be powered by a high-pressure air system.
The controller will continue to operate the entire system until the predetermined volume is reached. However, based on the feedback value, the program will make appropriate adjustments to achieve a consistent and accurate concrete proportion as per the buyer’s requests

Production Capacity of HZS50 Concrete Batching Plant
The HZS50 concrete batching plant has a production capacity of 50m3/h, as the name suggests. However, it is only a theoretical value. In reality, there is always a gap between theoretical and actual production capacity. Actual capacity is an important consideration when selecting the correct concrete batch plant.
It is impossible to achieve an output of just 50m3/h when the actual amount of additives and water, raw material mixing ratio, the actual mixing cycle, the actual ingredient arrangement, and transportation are all taken into account.
In addition to the batching management and mixer truck scheduling delays, the production cycle time is extended over 50 seconds. Taking all factors mentioned above into consideration, the real production capacity might be as low as 45m3/h.
